Acapulco (Akapulko, Cassia alata) as known by many people is a shrub that may be found around the Philippines. This shrub belongs to the family of Leguminosae that grows one to two meters tall. Its thick branches produce eight to twenty oblong-elliptical shaped leaflets and bears tetragonal fruits. Its flower also blooms with oblong sepals.
