Henna for Orange Hair was left on the hair for 4 hours. It was washed out using water and shampoo.

Individual results will vary. We recommend  you  harvest hair from your hairbrush and test the dye on that hair sample. Color will wash out within 25-30 days, depending upon how often you wash your hair. The base henna color will be permanent.

The Organic Ingredients:

  • Common madder (rubia  cordifolia) is used for the reddish tones it provides.
  • Henna (lawsonia inermis) produces a permanent red-orange color and protects the hair from heat damage.
  • Brahmi (bacopa monnieri) is a great hair and scalp conditioner.
  • Arjuna (terminalia chebula) provides black tones.
  • Bahera (Terminalia bellirica) delivers deep blue tones and doubles as a conditioner for the scalp.
  • True Indigo gives a blue-black color tone.
  • Kamala (mallotus philippinensis) gives a brown color while conditioning the scalp for healthy hair growth.
  • Soap pod (acacia concinna) provides shine and luster to the hair.
  • Indian Gooseberry (emblica officinalis) is high in heat-stable vitamin C and is an excellent hair and scalp conditioner.

*Certified organic ingredients contain plant tannins; skin test for allergy concerns.

Ayurvedic Herbs for Healthy Living

The ingredients in Henna for Orange Hair are part of Traditional Ayurveda— one of the world’s ancient holistic, or whole-body healing practices which was developed in India thousands of years ago. Ayurvedic medicine is based upon the belief that perfect health is regulated by a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit.

Henna is completely safe. It is extremely rare to have an allergic reaction to henna. People who are allergic to chemical dyes have turned to Henna because of its safety and beneficial properties for the hair and scalp.

Synthetic Hair Dyes Cause Chronic Illness

Article after article online will say that chemical hair dye is safe when used by the directions. Even the FDA claims that it is safe for use in hair dyes. But when the animal studies and news reports of human deaths show otherwise, we should sit up and pay attention. There is no reason to poison our bodies with hair dye.

Additionally, when you choose a henna hair dye which contains other natural, organic ingredients, your hair is treated with plant conditioners that help to repair your hair, nourish your scalp, and impart a shine. BioAnue Henna Dyes for hair has been personally tested by the owners and their families to ensure that you get a quality hair product.

What Color Does BioAnue Henna for Orange Hair Produce?

Henna for Orange Hair is a combination of 9 natural ingredients to produce a bright, deep orange color tone while nourishing the scalp and fortifying the hair.  The deep orange-red color will wash out between 25-30 days depending upon how often you wash your hair. The henna color tone will be permanent. You can easily re-create the orange tone by reapplying the same color once the orange tones wash out.

The longer the dye is left on the hair, the more color is imparted to the hair. Thirty minutes will produce less orange tone; 2 hours will produce deeper orange tones. The henna hues are permanent. While the henna hue may get lighten in tone, it does not completely wash out.

How Much Henna for Orange Hair to Use?

How much Henna for Orange Hair you will need for a single hair application will depend upon 3 things:

  • Your hair length
  • Your hair thickness
  • Your hair type. Curly hair should be measured by pulling it straight to determine the true length.

BioAnue Henna for Orange Hair is sold in 100 gram pouches. The following is an estimation to help you buy what it will take to dye your hair one time.

Buy 1 bag (100g) of Henna for Orange Hair for short hair cut to the ears and neckline.
Buy 2 bags (200g) of Henna for Orange Hair for collar length hair.

Buy 3 bags (300g) of Henna for Orange Hair for shoulder length hair.
Buy 5 bags (500g) of Henna for Orange Hair for waist length hair.

Supplies to Dye Hair:

  • BioAnue Henna for Orange Hair
  • Distilled water (approx. ¼ water to ¾ dye powder)
  • Gloves for hands
  • Petroleum jelly for hairline
  • Hand mixer for thorough mixing
  • Glass or ceramic bowl
  • Plastic bag
  • Plastic wrap
  • Heat cap or aluminum foil
  • Hair clips to section long hair
  • 2-6 hours to rest and relax

Directions for Usage:

  • Prepare hair: Hair should be clean and dry, free of conditioners and styling gels.

For those with hard water which contains lots of minerals, you may desire to rinse your hair with diluted vinegar to help remove minerals from hair.

  • Mix Henna for Orange Hair: Wear protective gloves and old clothing as henna will stain skin and clothes. Put powder into heat-proof bowl. Boil distilled water and pour over henna power. Mix until thickness of yogurt.  Cool before applying mixture to scalp and hair. (Using an old hand mixer works very well to get the henna completely mixed.)
  • Protect your hairline: Apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly on the skin around the hairline, including the forehead, ears, neck and jawline. This will prevent Henna from staining your face. If you do get Henna stains on your skin, it can take up to a week to wash off. (Be sure to keep the jelly out of your hair.)
  • Apply Henna to hair and scalp:  Divide hair into sections and apply the henna paste from the scalp out to the tips of the hair. Be sure to get the roots well—especially if you are covering gray.
  • Cover the Hair: Roll hair into a ball on top of the head and cover with plastic wrap or a plastic bag. Additionally, place a heat cap or aluminum foil over the plastic to promote heat to the hair for good dye application.
  • Time: Leave the Henna in the hair from 30 minutes to 4 hours depending upon the desired coloring. The longer it is left on the hair, the more dye is imparted into the hair.
  • Rinse: Rinse the Henna out of the hair in the shower or in a sink. It can take several minutes of rinsing and shampooing to get the mud-like Henna out of the hair. Condition as usual. (Some people like to use honey diluted in water as a natural conditioner. Be sure to discard any leftover honey-water as it will spoil and grow microbes if not used that day.)

Note: The first 4 days after henna dying the color will be very bright. This will begin to fade on day 4 and return to a more natural-looking color.

Notice: It is not recommended to have chemical straighteners or chemical “hair perms” on hair colored with Henna-based dyes. Chemicals like hair bleaching are also not recommended because Henna does not bleach out of the hair but rather fades to a pale orange color.
